Friendships

I only wish to surround myself with people who stimulate my brain, where our conversations result in healthy debates, education and growth.

Albeit, we may discuss trivial things, but the element of brain stimulation will always be there.

This is why I feel I’m becoming very selective with who I choose to spend my time with.

If you put things into perspective, when it comes to this little bitch called time, you realise there’s not that much of it.

When we feel obligated to be around certain people and engage with certain people, this sooo not ideal – we shouldn’t have to feel FORCED into friendships.

Now that I’ve come across the concept of a Fuck Budget*, I wholeheartedly believe in this. There’s not enough time in the world, or fucks to give to everyone!

You truly must seek out those whose friendship/interactions result in positive, encouraging outcomes.

Now, I must note (once again), that just because you don’t spend time with certain people AS often doesn’t mean they’re not still your people.

Life does just get in the way sometimes…

Anyways, these are my thoughts on this Sunday night.
